Cookies are small files a website saves on your device so it can remember things between visits, like the language you chose or whether you prefer dark mode. This page explains which ones the Niletu website uses and why. The app itself does not use cookies.
These make the site work and can't be switched off. They remember your language (English or Kiswahili), your light-or-dark theme choice, and basic security checks that protect the site. They never track you across other websites.
Without them, the site would forget your preferences every time you visited.
These help us understand how people use the site, which pages are read, where visitors get stuck, so we can make it better. They are optional, anonymised, and we only set them if you agree. Saying no changes nothing about how the site works for you.
You can clear or block cookies any time in your browser settings, look for "Privacy" or "Site data". Blocking essential cookies means the site will forget your language and theme choices. You can change your mind about analytics cookies whenever you like.
