Niletu was born in Zanzibar, from something every Tanzanian knows: when one of us has a goal, all of us have a part in it. The kibubu by the bed. The vicoba meeting on Sunday. The mchango list passed hand to hand for a wedding or a hospital bill.
These ways work, they've worked for generations. What they needed was a little light: a place where everyone can see the goal, see the progress, and trust where the money went. That's what we build. Not a new way to save, but a clearer way to do what we already do.
